CourtStream 5.3.6: Form Builder, Placements, Programs, Petitions and more

The following is a list of changes for CourtStream version 5.3.6 to be released 05/11/2010 @ 5:00 pm EST. If you have any feedback regarding this release please email us at support@bizstream.com or just make a comment at the bottom of this forum post. Any and all feedback, suggestions, bug/error reports are welcome.

Case Manager

Petitions, Offenses, Court Orders

New: SCAO Court Caseload Report. A new custom report has been created to track Petition Life-Cycles and assist in filling out the Michigan SCAO Court Caseload Report.
New: Added better support for processes like Refer to Formal, Return from Transfer, and Case Type Change.
New: Added ability to see/change an offenses Adjudication/Disposition information.
Updated: Further redesigns on the Petition/Offenses screens to make navigating and working faster and easier.
Updated: Better validation on Petitions and Offenses which results in more accurate data.
Updated: Other minor bug fixes

Case Manager, Detention

Register of Action

Updated: Automatic events have been tweaked to work with the new SCAO Court Caseload Report

Placements

Updated: The Placements tab is a place to keep track of the physical placement location of a client (excluding Detention placements in this version). Foster homes, Residential Facilites, etc can all be tracked here. It also allows for the tracking of per diem rates over time with a special report data source.

Programs

Updated: The Programs tab is very similar to the Placements tab. Use it to keep track of placements in programs like Tether or Drug Court. It also allows for the tracking of per diem rates over time with a special report data source.

Reports

New: Added a new field called "DET Calc: Days of Placement" to the "Case: Detention" Data Source.

This field must be used with the "DET: Date In Detention (Search Only)" field.
If you set the Date In Detention field to searchable, and set the Days of Placement to Aggregate Total. You will get a total "Days of Placement" or "Days of Service" calculated automatically.

Facility

Sending Alerts

Updated: Sending Facility Alerts from Daily Log was not sending emails

BizStream Application

Form Builder

Updated: Security: You can now setup security in anyway you want. Who can Create Forms? Who can edit, delete...? Who is allowed to Fill Out the Forms?
Updated: Ability to "tie" the Forms to "objects" within the system. An "object" could be a Client, a Detention Placement, a User.
Updated: Fixed some issues with Checkboxes and Pull Downs on the PDF output.
Updated: Changed the way the Form Builder Options appear
New: Added the "Other Forms" tab on a client. Here is a place you can add all of your other forms that you need for your client.

Home

Daily Log Widget

Fixed: Fixed the "ShowDailyLogView(XXXX-XX-XXXX-XXXXXX)" issue. Now when you click a Facility-based Daily Log entry from the homepage, it will take you to the correct spot within the system.

Detention:

Updated: Users can once again add a request from detention via the Daily Log and click the 'Use This' button to add the RFD to an existing client

Miscellaneous:

Updated: Made some superfluous fixes that have no effect on the user experience.

Detention:

Updated: Medications now allow editing after saving if no schedules or actions are associated with it.
Updated: Medication Schedules now allow editing of the schedule times after saving and schedules will alert the user when they have associated medication actions.
Updated: You can now send alerts on Medication, Medication Schedule and Medication Action items.

Detention:

Updated: Log Items can now be edited by administrator and detention supervisor roles even if they are not the owner of the log item.
Updated: The clients in detention widget now allows you to select the Supervisory Level as a display column

(Please remember that you must logout and then login again to see these changes if you have not done so since the patch was applied)

Case Manager & Detention:

Updated: Case Work Team will no longer allow you to add Other Contacts that are blank. Changed verbiage in the title of Other Contacts.

Minor Fixes:

Updated: Fixed some behind the scenes issues that includes better handling of large numbers when storing data.

CourtStream 5.2.4 (Patch 10) Release Notes

Detention:

Feature - Health History: Health Histories are now tied to the current stay in detention. You can only add a new Health History when a client is in detention, and does not have a Health History associated with the current stay. Editing the current Health History is only available while the client is in detention (with the exception of administrators).
Update - Daily Log: Change Room and Change Level entries no longer link to the client.
Fix - Delete Client: Using the delete client functionality while in the Detention module should now properly remove the client from the system.
Fix - Placement: Default current level should now be properly set when placing a client in detention.

Documents & Files:

Fix: The document filter is now working properly.

General:

Fix - Audit Log: Change Level and Change Room items are now prefixed with their appropriate category.

CourtStream 5.2.4 Beta

BizStream has released version CourtStream 5.2.4 Beta. This Beta version of CourtStream provides a preview to upcoming features that will be added to CourtStream. Below is a list of features that are available for current beta testers to try out.

BizStream is happy to announce new versions of CourtStream and Detention have been released today! The following is a partial list of major features implemented in this version:

General Enhancements

Several items have been add to the quick actions menu.
User Switching - added functionality for quickly switching between user accounts.
Added headcount and temporary release counts to Clients in Detention widget.
Improved Daily Log - Clicking on entry will display entry details.

Detention - Search Screen

Users can search for Clients currently in detention or Requests for Detention by clicking on of the links at the top of the detention search screen.
Users can now search for a client by, client name, date of birth, room number, or county.
Results can be sorted by clicking on the column header.

Summary Screen

Added Release, Temporary Release, Room Change, and Level Change.

Temporary Release/Return

Release

A temporary release may be granted through the summary screen or using the quick actions.
Release will be added to the daily log, and the activity log.

Return

A return is done using the button on the summary screen or using the quick actions.
The return will be added to the daily log, and the activity log.

Release types are maintained in the Administration screen.
Clients on temporary release are removed from the headcount.

Room Change

A room change can be done from the summary screen by clicking on the room or using the quick action.
Available rooms are maintained in the Administration screen.

Level Change

A level change can be done from the summary screen by clicking on the level or using the quick action.
Levels are maintained in the Administration screen.

Drug Test

Now accessible through the detention application.

Court Orders

Now accessible through the detention application.

Detention placement enhancements

Added MAYSI score tracking
Added contact information (i.e. was contact made with mother/father upon placement)

Insurance data enhancements

Subscriber is now linked to a contact for the client.
A scanned image of the clients insurance card can be uploaded and stored with the insurance data.
Expanded flexibility for entry of insurance numbers (group, medicaid, etc.)

File Attachments

Expanded attachment functionality to classify attachment by client stay in detention.

Record of Discipline

Added ability to track various types of disciplines, consequences, and resolutions.

Progress Reports

Added progress report section to detention application.

Tracking client behavior, achievements, and program goals.

CourtStream 5.1.11 Goes Live
