    Wrong Judge on Court Orders

We've been noticing that if we do a court order on a case that does not have an assigned judge it is automatically populating that position with Judge Feyen's name.  Unfortunately he is not necessarily the assigned judge.

We have the same problem with referees.  It automatically pulls up Kevin Bowling as the referee (and he rarely does orders) but that sometimes gets by the workers too.

Is it possible to have those fields not default to the first person?  This way orders will not be created with the wrong judicial person on it.

And as far as the judge goes, we don't always have the assigned judge on so this would force us to look at the AS400 to input it.  (Hopefully this will be one of the integration items next).

But at least if we can make sure there's no default there that would be good.  I tried to look under my administration tab to change that but I couldn't see it anywhere.

    Hey Tammy,

Yes, we can look at changing that. It should be discussed in the next Enhancements Team Meeting. The way it works now, we force the user to select a Judge or Referee. Those were the old requirements. Making field optional is quick and easy from a development standpoint. We just need to verify with the team that it is OK for the field to be empty.

    Thanks,

I have added this to the enhancement list.
